Vacation Spots in Jamaica

Traveling to the islands can certainly make for a wonderful vacation but if you are having a difficult time choosing which island to visit, don't overlook some of the fantastic vacation spots in Jamaica.

Jamaica is a fair sized island, situated in the Caribbean Sea about the same distance below Cuba as Key West is above it.

Known for its beautiful beaches, outstanding resorts and a somewhat laid-back lifestyle, it is the perfect place for anybody to visit, regardless if they are newlyweds looking for a luxury resort or a beach bum, simply wanting to sit in the sand.

There are so many different vacation spots in Jamaica that it can be difficult for you to decide which one will suit you best. For example, Montego Bay tends to be where most people who are looking for their vacation time gravitate.

There's good reason why they do this, too. Montego Bay has everything that somebody on a luxury vacation could possibly enjoy.

It is well known for the golf that it provides, as well as having some of the top resorts that are available on the island. If you're looking for something that is rather remote, however, Montego Bay is not what you are looking for.

If, however, you are looking for shopping, dining and almost nonstop entertainment, you can't beat Montego Bay for what it has to offer.

If you are looking for vacation spots in Jamaica where you can relax, unwind and get away from it all, you might consider the north coast of the island. This is the area which holds Ocho Rios, a very popular vacation spot and it also has plenty of resorts that give you a relaxing time on beautiful beaches.

You are not too far out of the nightlife, however, and there will still be plenty to do, just in case you happen to want to mix it up a little bit.

The south coast of Jamaica also offers some opportunities to get away from it all but it does not offer the luxury resorts and the lush island atmosphere that is available elsewhere.

Regardless of which of the vacation spots in Jamaica that you choose, you're sure to have a great time. Leave your troubles at home and come enjoy the relaxing environment that Jamaica has to offer.
