Romantic Beach Vacations

If you have an important anniversary coming up, or just think you’ll die of boredom if you spend another weekend at home, it might be time to take a romantic vacation on a beach somewhere.

A lot of couples feel they just need to get away from everything, at least for a while, but can’t figure out where to go or what to do.

The thing is, vacations will never plan themselves, and, most of the time, you just need to get out of the house. Plan a romantic vacation on the beach — it’ll give you a break from daily life, and leave you relaxed and refreshed.

When looking for a beach to go to, on your vacation, you’ll find that there are many locations with romantic beaches you can choose from—whether you want to stay somewhere not-too-distant, or roam far a-field.

If you want a trip not too far off from home, you can try heading to St. John, which is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and a lovely and well-known vacationing spot.

There are many lovely locales to choose from and, as most of the beaches are accessible only by water, you’ll get a great deal of privacy.

Some really popular areas that you should take a look at include Trunk Beach, Cinnamon Bay Beach, which afford chances for great snorkeling, and Hawksnest Beach, which is simply beautiful. Caneel Beach is a great couples resort, if you dislike the more touristy places.

If you’ve set your sights on something more like a luxury beach vacation, the Greek island, Corfu, is extremely romantic, very accessible and has some of the loveliest tropical beaches in the world. This forty-mile long island has about twelve beaches, each peppered with luxury resorts which have housed tourists from all over the world for ages.

So, whether you want to laze on the beach, visit the Byzantine churches, or head to the museum, the beautiful and breathtaking island of Corfu can supply you with activities that suit you just right.

If you want to head to a beach with a real party scene, there’s no place better than Palm Beach. This beach on the southern Caribbean island, Aruba, won’t leave you sweltering because of the heat, and you’ll find that there’s no lack of things to do.

If you dislike the crowds on Palm Beach, head to the smaller beach—Boca Grande, which can offer more private accommodations. Aruba, as a whole, be it Boca Grande, or the more exuberant Palm Beach, has no lack of nightlife, so you’ll definitely turn at least a little nocturnal, to see the attractions—shows and casinos abound on this island.

Planning a romantic beach get-away needn’t be all that difficult. You might want to try for more private accommodations—in some locations, renting a small house or villa costs about the same as renting a hotel-room, and you get more privacy and independence.

Decide what you want, and head out, on a romantic beach vacation, away from the rest of the world.
